Our History
Since 1924, generations of our family have been serving Maroa and the surrounding communities by providing professional plumbing services, home heating, and air conditioning comforts. We were first established on the north side of Main Street in Maroa, originally known as Larson’s Hardware and Heating. Hardware, general merchandise, and Premiere and Lenox heating equipment were sold.
Mr. John Larson provided plumbing services, in addition to installing and servicing the heating and air conditioning systems that he sold. In 1959, Fran Thoms joined the family by marrying John’s granddaughter Tonia. Fran worked alongside John for the last few years of his life, gaining a wealth of knowledge 
and experience. After John’s death, Fran Thoms continued doing business and in 1996, his son Mance Thoms joined him full time. Together, they became Thoms Plumbing and HVAC, Inc. And in 2015, Mance’s son, Noah Thoms, great-great grandson of John Larson, began his apprenticeship. Noah is the 5th generation of our family to be a part of what began one hundred years ago. We are blessed and grateful that generations of our family continue to serve generations of yours.
